Jackson Still pals.
Housman Comrades.
Jackson Like whoever they were.
Housman Theseus and Pirithous. They were kings. They met on the field of battle to fight to the death, but when they saw each other, each was struck in admiration for his adversary, so they became comrades instead and had many adventures together. Theseus was never so happy as when he was with his friend. They weren't sweet on each other. They loved each other, as men loved each other in the heroic age, in virtue, paired together in legend and poetry as the pattern of comradeship, as the chivalric ideal of virtue in the ancient world.

Name: Hiro Nakamura
House: Hufflepuff
Talent: Magic relating to time and movement--freezing spells and the like--and muggle studies. Probably the most knowledgeable person about charms for time-turners, etc. But no one really knows about that because he prefers playing with Muggle stuff :Db
Teaching Position: Muggle Studies
Other: Hiro spent his school days dreaming of being a Muggle. Or, more accurately, dreaming of being a Muggle superhero. For this reason, he basically failed all his classes, except Muggle Studies, and was disowned by his pureblood Slytherin family. In his fifth year, he stepped up his studies, and all his teachers were shocked by the new, motivated Hiro. It was during this time that he discovered his talent for immobilizing spells and time magic. However, after school, instead of going into a wizard business, he assumed the name Clark Parker and began working at a Muggle newspaper while fighting crime using his magic at night. He found, however, that his spandex was chafing, his cape hazardous, and the police less than receptive, and thus with regret hung up his alter-egos and accepted the position of Muggle Studies teacher at Hogwarts. He believes that comic books show an underlying commonality between Muggles and humans, and uses them extensively in his advanced classes to show how Muggles have made up for their lack of magic. He is probably considered insane by the vast majority of his students because he still busts out his old Justice Man costume for formal occasions.

Superman is an alien. He is very powerful. I do not think you could be more powerful than he is.
...but you are still very good! Really.

I'm going to be redoing Hiro's icons to use higher-quality screencaps, so they'll be going through some ch-ch-ch-changes. \(^o^)/
Hello! Is it okay for you to train me now?
Age: 24
Height: [tba]
Weight: Plump!
Medical Info: Nothing as far as we know. He can bend time and space? 8D
Eyes: Black
Hair: Black
Physical traits: Physically unremarkable, plumpish, very dorky. No superstrength or speed as of yet.
What's Okay To Mention Around Him/Her: Hmm. Might add to this later. For the moment, anything he's already experienced is fine, he gets that kind of comment on his canon blog and is pretty open about it. No future spoilers yet.
Abilities: He can stop time for everyone but him for short periods. He can travel backward and forward in time, but has poor control of this. He will not be able to use this ability in camp. He can also teleport himself; in camp this will function only within the barrier, and he doesn't have great control of it yet.
Notes for the Psychics: Hiro's brain goes 8D 8D 8D Star Trek!
Can I shapeshift/bodyswap/spit at/step on/etc?: Sure, just ask me first!
Maim/Murder/Death: Hiro is not (yet) a fighter. In a fight situation, he will probably run. Don't kill him, please.
Cooking: Probably a lot of instant ramen.

H-hokay wow. Some notes and then some questions!
First off, about Hiro's voice. During the show, Hiro primarily talks in pretty broken English, which I happen to find adorable, and the easiest way to hear his voice for me. So my plan! Hiro, during normal conversation, will speak in broken English, because he won't assume any of you guys know Japanese. He will, sometimes, mutter to himself in Japanese/say things he can't without the expectation of them being understood. Camp's translator will kick in for this kind of utterance, and I'll put them in italics. Hiro will eventually notice that these are being translated/omg everyone knows Japanese!!11! but will mostly stick to English in order to hone his skills and become like the Hiro of the future. So for serious/important stuff, he will switch to Japanese, but otherwise brokenish English, which should improve over time. His typed comments will be run through his translator, and appear in that style. I know my app had no broken English (just awkward translated English), so if anyone objects to my using a style I did not app with, please let me know.
In terms of Hiro's job! My hope (which might get topped by life) is that Hiro will do one blog style post every week, as he does on the NBC website. Whether or not I can actually stick to that, well, the posts will have the format of summary of important camp events/Hiro events, as in canon. BY COMMENTING TO ONE OF THESE POSTS, YOU ARE ENCOURAGING AUDIENCE TO POKE YOU. Hiro's posts will be directed at everyone, but aware of an audience and somewhat speaking to them. He will also respond, but I'd like for these posts to be ones where the audience knows they are welcome to talk to the characters and poke them at will. Audience is still politely requested to avoid triggery issues and things that the players don't want to deal with, and to not but in on obviously private threads that may emerge there, but regular interaction is hoped for and encouraged!
Let's see, last thing. Hiro is an otaku, obviously. His main otaku points seem to be video games and American comic books, although he also likes sci-fi, anime, and manga. He seems pretty well versed in dorkery from the blog. So this is a generic CAN HIRO RECOGNIZE YOU 8D thing. Additionally, I'd like to request what level of recognition is okay--Hiro is dorky enough to say "but what did you MEAN in issue #61 when you said "remember the platypus?!?!" and if you're okay with that I wouldn't mind playing with it, but I don't want to push emo buttons. Especially if you're okay with higher levels of canon-related poking, if you're willing to tell me the best way to get in touch with you (AIM, IRC, etc) while playing I would be forever greatful so that I can find out stuff if I don't know your canon.
Hokay? Hokay! Questions/comments on any and all of that welcome, and glad to be here!
